Referendum

O! The Gov't of the day did say,
the people have the right, today,
to historic decisions make as they may.

And so the day it dawns right bright,
and Voters turned out in all their might,
and on they went until the night!

The people woke, they cheered, they groaned,
Democracy, it's wheels had turned,
And the people had decided to leave,
the EU with it's fraudulent sleeve,
of layers of regulation, tight,
but applied only to it's honest lights.

And so the leavers celebrate,
And so the remainers gnash and hate,
they hate Democracy that works,
that ignores their idiosyncratic quirks.

And so as fascists everywhere, the remainers seek to over bear,
the Democratic will expressed, by Voters, young and old, rich and poor, whom they condemn as mentally flawed, and ignorant of matters of State.

Such is the way these Haters Hate, those who do not share their privileged state.
